1The Group’s philosophy

Since its creation in 2001, the objective of the Group 770 has always been to offer a high quality service to its customers so that they can have fun and enjoy themselves to the max: hence our slogan "It’s always a pleasure to play".

That’s why the Group 770 makes every effort to provide its customers with the best offer of online games and, with superb digital graphics and sound effects, players can immerse themselves in the thrilling adventure of gaming as if they were in a real casino.

Furthermore, in its dedication to being a reliable, equitable, secure and transparent operator, the Group 770 is also committed to responsible gaming. For the Group, responsible gaming is, among other things, about:

  • stopping minors from accessing its sites;
  • sensitising players to the negative influences that can impinge upon the enjoyable aspect of the game;
  • preventing and providing help in the face of compulsive gambling.

2Protection of minors

UK and international law forbid all internet users under the age of 18 from accessing online money games. With this in mind, the Group 770 takes every measure possible to prevent minors from playing on its sites.

In particular, the Group reserves the right to ask for legal documents at any time to prove the identity and age of its users in order to better ensure that its sites are not accessed by minors and to block banned players and to guarantee the identity of the recipients of each and every payment.

To be sure of protection, it is strongly advised that you:

  • limit the amount of time that minors spend on the internet and install parental control software;
  • protect your online account and access to the gaming software with a password;
  • do not leave identification data within reach of minors;
  • • never leave your gaming session open and unsupervised.

3 Harmful influences

To play money games, it is crucial that you are in a balanced psychological and emotional state in order to be able to think clearly and react in an appropriate manner.

Combining gaming with the consumption of alcohol, drugs or any other substance which could affect a player’s mental capacities is very dangerous. For example, a player under the influence of alcohol is at a greater risk of not applying logical reasoning to the game (whether or not he or she will lose) and also at a greater risk of becoming a compulsive gambler.

If you are either prone to or have had problems in the past with alcohol or drugs, we advise that you avoid playing money games and that you seek professional advice (see the "Helping compulsive players" section below).

Some external pressures can also be counted as harmful influences and can interfere in the enjoyable nature of playing games, such as playing the game in order to reach a certain social status or in order to integrate oneself into a social group. These are needless pressures which can be damaging in the short, medium and/or long term.

Gaming must remain a choice, a personal choice and a choice to simply enjoy oneself. In no case should it be an obligation or a compulsion as a result of any person’s or thing’s influence.

4Player responsibility

The Group 770 encourages responsible gaming and, as a result, wants its users to behave responsibly, in particular with regard to their daily obligations.

Define your priorities
Under no circumstances should the time or the money that you invest in any games take precedent over or interfere in your family, professional or social commitments:

  • Impinging on your work or studies or on your family or parental responsibilities;
  • Damaging to your health and hindering other activities that are crucial to your well-being (sport, a balanced diet, rest).

You should know how to define your priorities and how to maintain a good physical, emotional and relationship balance both for you and for those around you – this is more important than your game winnings.

Know your limits
It is the responsibility of the individual player to know that you must fix gaming limits, in terms of the amount of time and money you are willing to spend – this means you can avoid as well as possible succumbing to pathological problems of excessive gaming and losing out on the enjoyable experience of the game. The financial aspect is particularly sensitive and, unfortunately, a lot of players succumb to excess and find themselves in debt as a result of gaming. It is important that you both fix and stick to your limits before you even start playing.

5Prevention

The Group 770 knows that some players, caught up in the excitement of the game, can cease to pay due heed to their limits (money, time) and find themselves playing in an uncontrolled and irresponsible manner. That’s why, with a goal of prevention in mind, the Group takes a number of specific measures. For example:

  • The Group’s customer service agents are specially trained to follow players’ gaming patterns and to detect those who may be tending towards the excessive.
  • There is a system in place on all the Group’s sites whereby a player can, at his or her own wishes, request that his or her account be blocked for a given period.

To help you to evaluate your playing behaviour, you can also ask yourself the following questions:

  • Have you taken time off work or from your studies because of gaming?
  • Is gaming affecting your personal relationships (family, friends)?
  • Have you prioritised financing your gaming over financial responsibilities to your family?
  • Is gaming affecting your own health (problems with sleeping, self-neglect, isolation, depression, stress, behavioural difficulties)?
  • Have you felt remorse or regret after playing or felt the need to go back to playing as soon as possible in order to win more money/make up your losses?
  • Have you played to repay debts or to make up a financial deficit?
  • Have you played beyond the financial and time limits that you had set for yourself?
  • Have you borrowed or sold something to finance your gaming?
  • Have you considered acting illegally to finance your gaming?
  • Do you have problems with alcohol and/or with drugs?
  • Have you considered harming yourself because of your gaming (e.g. suicide)?
  • Have you noticed yourself behaving violently or aggressively after or during playing?

If you have answered "yes" to any of these questions, we advise you to contact the Group 770 customer services or the ADICTEL organisation immediately (see the "Helping compulsive players" section below).
