4. I am having problems connecting to the website. Could it be that my Proxy Server or Firewall are causing my problems?
You may not be able to connect 770 from your computer or ISP due to a Proxy or Firewall configuration that your network administrator requires you to use. If you really want to play at 770, you will have to contact your ISP's Support department and they should be able to find a solution.
5. What are the rules of BlackJack?
The primary rule of BlackJack is to score 21 points or less with the cards in your hand. The game is played against the dealer so it doesn't matter what the other players receive, it will not affect your result.
Before any cards are dealt, the players must place a bet. After this, the dealer gives two cards to each player and two to himself. One of the dealer's cards cannot be seen at this point. Face cards (kings, queens and jacks) count as 10, an ace counts as one or 11. The player may choose the ace's value and it may change from 11 to 1 as many times as the player decides, provided that the total held does not exceed 21. All other cards are counted at their face value.
"BLACK JACK"
If any player's first two cards are an ace and a 10 or face card, they win. However, if the dealer also has a Blackjack, it is a standoff, as are all ties or pushes, all monies bet by the drawing parties are returned.
A winning Black Jack hand pays the player 3 to 2.
"HIT or STAND"
A hit is where a player requests another card. Stand means no more cards required. If the player hits and busts (goes over 21), the wager is lost.
"DOUBLE DOWN "
The player is allowed to double the bet on his first two cards and draw one additional card only to improve his hand. Once this extra card is drawn the player's go is then over.
"SPLITTING PAIRS"
If the first two cards are a pair, the player may split them into two separate hands, bet the same amount on each and then play them separately. Aces receive only one additional card. After splitting, A-10 counts as 21 and not as Black Jack.
"INSURANCE"
If the dealer's facing card is an ace, the player may take insurance, a bet not exceeding one-half his original bet. If the dealer's down card is a 10 or any face card, the player wins 2 to 1. Any other card means a win for the dealer.
"SURRENDER"
Where permitted, a player may give up his first two cards and lose only one-half his original bet.
The dealer must draw on 16 and stand on 17.
6. How do I play Roulette?
Roulette is an easy-to-play, glamorous and very popular game of chance. The typical "American" roulette wheel is divided into 38 slots which are numbered 1 to 36 plus 0 and 00. Even numbers are red and odd numbers black. 0 and 00 are green. The European Wheel versions of this game have only 37 slots with only one zero, maximizing the player's chances.
After the players place their bets, the dealer rolls a small white ball in the opposite direction of the spinning wheel. When the ball comes to rest in one of the slots, the dealer will call out the winning number and settle all bets.
BETTING
These are the bets you can place, with their corresponding payouts:
Straight Bet: on a single number pays 35:1.
Split Bet: on 2 adjacent numbers pays 17:1.
Street Bet : on 3 numbers on a horizontal line pays 11:1.
Corner Bet: on a block of 4 numbers pays 8:1.
Line Bet: on 6 numbers in 2 adjacent rows pays 5:1.
Column Bet: on 1 of 3 vertical columns pays 2:1.
Dozen Bet: on 12 numbers, low (1-12), middle (13-24) or high (25-36) pays 2:1.
Even Bet: on even or odd, red or black, low (1-18) or high (19-36) pays 1:1.
You can place as many bets as you like on a single spin of the wheel, up to the table maximum.
7. I don't understand VideoPoker.
When you start the hand, you are dealt 5 cards randomly. After this, you can select the cards you want to keep. The dealer then deals the same amount of cards as were thrown away and the hand is evaluated. Based on what kind of hand you're holding, you'll receive a certain number of points.
Hands are listed below, from best (highest scoring), to worst (no score):
Royal Flush - 3000 Points: A straight flush, with the Ace high. In other words, a Ten, Jack, Queen, King and Ace, all of the same suit.
Four of a Kind - 125 points: Four cards of the same value. (Obviously, each of different suits).
Full House - 40 points: A three of a kind and a pair at the same time.
Flush - x 25 points: All cards in your hand are the same suit.
Straight - 20 points: All five cards are consecutive.
For example: Three of Clubs, Four of Spades, Five of Clubs, Six of Diamonds, and Seven of Hearts.
Three of a Kind - 15 points: Three cards of the same value.
Two Pair - 10 points: Two pairs of cards
Pair - 5 points: Two cards in your hand are the same value.
None of the Above - 0 points
Each turn "costs" 5 points, so if you get a pair, no points will be added to your total score. If you don't get anything, you lose five points.
8. What exactly is slots?
Slot machines (also known as "one-armed bandits") are thrilling games that let you win many times more than your bet.
To play the slot machine just drop chips into the slot and pull the handle or click the "spin" button to rotate the reels. You can drop as many chips as you wish into the slot but only one chip or credit is played each time by default.
To increase your bet by one credit, click the "BET ONE" button. The maximum number of credits that can be played in one round varies per game. Click on the "BET MAX" button to bet the maximum number of credits right away. If you wish to cash out the credits that are in the machine, click the "CASH OUT" button on the machine.
Payouts are as shown in the table on top of each game. For example, if you play one chip (credit) in a 50 pence slot machine and all triple-bars line up, you will receive 80 chips which is £40.
